New Hampshire downs Syracuse, 4-0

Michael Fabie grabbed one point to lead the New Hampshire Jr Monarchs to a 4-0 victory over the Syracuse Junior Stars.

New Hampshire stifled Syracuse's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Jr Monarchs forced the Junior Stars goalie Matt Schneider to work between the pipes, taking 56 shots.

New Hampshire also got points from Jonathan Kostial, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Davis Algra also scored for New Hampshire. More assists for New Hampshire came via Connor Merrick, Shane Earley, Brendan Tazumi, and Brett Boyer, who each chipped in one.

Syracuse excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Junior Stars did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Syracuse puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. The Junior Stars' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Syracuse finished with 16 penalty minutes.

Cole Burack rejected 21 shots on goal for New Hampshire. The Jr Monarchs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Schneider recorded 52 saves for the Junior Stars. Syracuse registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
