Beaudoin leads New Hampshire over Frederick, 9-0

The New Hampshire Jr Monarchs' Brent Beaudoin had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 9-0 win over the Frederick Freeze.

Beaudoin found the back of the net on the power play 8:16 into the first period to make the score 2-0 New Hampshire and again while short handed 20:44 into the first to make the score 8-0 New Hampshire.

New Hampshire forced Frederick's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 32 shots and forcing 23 saves. Michal Marcinek made 16 stops and Daniel Dolliver made seven. The Jr Monarchs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Freeze to score on any of their four power plays. New Hampshire's goal total was higher than its season average. The Jr Monarchs average 5.8 goals per game.

Others who scored for New Hampshire included Michael Fabie, who had two and Ross Mandigo, Brendan Tazumi, Stephen Wolf, Christopher Moquin, and Brett Boyer, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for New Hampshire were Eric Grover, Connor Merrick, Brian Greene, Jonathan Kostial, Davis Algra, Daniel Nolte, and James Jamieson, who each chipped in one.

Frederick was held below its usual level of production. The Freeze average 3.4 goals per game.

Cole Burack recorded 24 saves for New Hampshire. The Jr Monarchs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Frederick incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
