Joshua Koerner netted a hat trick to lead Florida Junior Blades over the Tampa Bay Juniors, 5-3.

Koerner notched his first tally 7:19 into the second period. He then added goals at 30 seconds into the third and at 2:24 into the third.

Florida Junior Blades' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Tampa Bay power plays. Florida Junior Blades kept Tampa Bay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Emil Eriksson made 34 saves on 39 shots.

Florida Junior Blades additionally got points from Matt Benolkin, who also registered one goal and one assist. Florida Junior Blades also got a goal from Max Cobb as well. Other players who recorded assists for Florida Junior Blades were Alec Koenen and Chaise Howard, who each chipped in one and Troy Degler and Austin Hefferin, who contributed two a piece.

Jacob Carter made 30 saves for Florida Junior Blades on 33 shots. Florida Junior Blades incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
