In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Springfield Pics escaped with a 4-2 victory over Islanders.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Stefan Koproske secured the win for Springfield with a goal in the third period.

Koproske had two goals to lead the Pics to victory.

Springfield pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

The Pics forced Islanders goalie Michael Kitts to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

Springfield also got points from Matthew Antonacci, who also had one goal and one assist and Thane Schinabeck, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Springfield were Logan Schinabeck, Nicholas Sibilia, Riley Green, Zachary Prout, and Mario Fontanella, who each chipped in one.

Islanders' offense rang up 47 shots on Springfield's net.

Islanders was helped by Jonathan Pate, who racked up one goal. Pate scored 4:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Islanders. Nicholas Falbo provided the assist. Islanders also got a goal from Joshua Vernot as well. More assists for Islanders came via Bradford Anderson, who had one.

Matthew Blascak made 45 saves for the Pics on 47 shots. Springfield registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Kitts rejected 42 shots on goal for Islanders. Islanders incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
