Suffolk beats Tampa Bay 6-2 as Gault gets hat trickNESC Rink 5 Sat, Sep 22, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
A hat trick by Matthew Gault was the highlight in PAL's 6-2 win against the Tampa Bay Juniors. Gault notched his first tally 53 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 10:21 into the second and at 14:15 into the second.The Suffolk PAL capitalized on Tampa Bay's penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage. Suffolk additionally got points from Christopher Seeback, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Suffolk also got a goal from Nicholas Falino as well. In addition, Suffolk received assists from Joseph Duszak, who had two, Thomas Dunn, who had three, and Cameron Smith, Michael Leone, Evan Schwartz, and Michael Gilroy, who each chipped in one. The Juniors could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Tampa Bay puts an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game. The Juniors forced Suffolk goalie Daniel Potter to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Tampa Bay was helped by Brent Barber, who grabbed one goal. Barber scored on the power play 13:18 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Suffolk. The Juniors had taken the advantage when the PAL's Leone got sent off for interference. Ryan Odgers assisted on the tally. Jesse Bafia also scored for Tampa Bay. Other players who recorded assists for Tampa Bay were Jonathan Hall, Austin Teall, and Christian Aunspaugh, who contributed one a piece. Daniel Potter made 29 saves for Suffolk on 31 shots. The PAL incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Tampa Bay's Kyle Gertz stopped 21 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Juniors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
