Huge game by Seifert boosts Syracuse over Space Coast, 10-1

Mike Seifert was all over the ice for the Syracuse Junior Stars, as he tallied four goals and one assist in Syracuse's 10-1 win over the Space Coast Hurricanes.

Seifert got on the scoresheet 4:27 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:49 into the first, at 20:53 into the first, and at 7:13 into the second.

The Junior Stars stifled Space Coast's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Syracuse found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Junior Stars average 4.4 goals per game.

Syracuse additionally got points from Nate Zweig, who also racked up two goals and one assist, Anthony Angello, who also registered two goals and three assists, and Jesse Farabee, who also had one goal and two assists. Tom Nicholson also scored for Syracuse. More assists for Syracuse came via Erik Kurz, who had two and Matt Schneider, Steven Staversky, Alex Taylor, Tyler OMara, Conner Doren, Benjamin Engelbrekt, Nick Sturick, and Garth Gray, who each chipped in one.

Syracuse took out Nate Skidmore after he had made 11 saves and installed Schneider in goal, where he finished with nine saves and the win. The Junior Stars incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Hurricanes' starting goalie, Patrick Tepedino, made seven saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Nicholas Wayland, who stopped 12 shots. Space Coast incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
