A hat trick by Kevin DiMagno was the highlight in Junior Hockey (Rochester)'s 7-0 win against the Space Coast Hurricanes. DiMagno's first goal came 14:23 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:00 into the second and at 15:34 into the second.The Maksymum Junior Hockey (Rochester) pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 14 penalty minutes. Maksymum stifled Space Coast's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) featured an improved defense during the game. Maksymum gives up 2.4 goals on average per game. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Maksymum has scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Maksymum also got points from Gregory Miller, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Thomas Grammatico, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Mikel Williams, who also registered one goal and two assists. Dylan Versage also scored for Maksymum. Other players who recorded assists for Maksymum were Anton Vavenkov, Daniel Goldstein, and Bryan Carville, who each chipped in one and Michael Whitehair and Cam Cook, who contributed two a piece. The Hurricanes racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 17.0 minutes per game Space Coast had been spending in the box. Ryan Morey made 17 saves for the Junior Hockey (Rochester) on 17 shots. Maksymum registered four goals on eight power play opportunities. Nicholas Wayland recorded 22 saves for the Hurricanes. Space Coast registered zero goals on seven power play opportunities. For the Hurricanes, Dalton Francik was ejected from the game.
