Maksymum survives Connecticut comeback, wins 4-2

The Maksymum Junior Hockey (Rochester) came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the Connecticut Oilers, but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory.

Maksymum led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Junior Hockey (Rochester)'s Michael Whitehair's scored at 24:14 in the first period to put Maksymum up 3-0.

Kevin DiMagno had one goal and two assists to lead the Junior Hockey (Rochester). DiMagno scored 7:09 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Maksymum.

Bryan Carville also scored for Maksymum. Other players who recorded assists for Maksymum were Cam Cook and Dylan Versage, who each chipped in one.

Connecticut was helped by Ryan Harper, who grabbed one goal. Harper scored on the power play 2:07 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Maksymum. The Oilers had gained a power play chance when Conlan Keenan was whistled for hooking. Stephan Seeger assisted on the tally. Connecticut additionally got points from Seeger, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Connecticut came via McKay Flanagan and David Landau, who contributed one a piece.

Ian Sylves recorded 22 saves for Maksymum. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Zachary Geller made 25 saves for Connecticut on 29 shots. The Oilers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
