Junior Bruins squeaks by Florida Junior Blades, 4-2

The game between Junior Bruins and Florida Junior Blades was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Junior Bruins emerged with a 4-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Anthony Galloway at 4:59 of the second period.

Junior Bruins was led by Galloway, who had one goal.

Junior Bruins managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Junior Bruins finished below its season average of 4.0 penalty minutes per game. Florida Junior Blades was unable to stop Junior Bruins from sending pucks towards the net, and Junior Bruins eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Bryan Carter also scored for Junior Bruins. In addition, Junior Bruins received assists from Vince DAmato, who had two and Robert Houghton, Zachary Byczko, Kyle Griffin, Daniel Pastl, and Daniel Resop, who each chipped in one.

Florida Junior Blades kept Junior Bruins' goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Dargene made 30 saves on 32 shots.

Florida Junior Blades was helped by Joshua Koerner, who finished with one goal. Koerner scored 9:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Florida Junior Blades. Troy Degler assisted on the tally. Florida Junior Blades also got a goal from Daniel Thompson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Florida Junior Blades were Chaise Howard, Max Cobb, and Chris Lepore, who contributed one a piece.

Junior Bruins registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Eric Sugrue recorded 30 saves for Florida Junior Blades. Florida Junior Blades incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
