Gallegos' hat trick boosts Florida Eels over Tampa Bay, 6-3Fort Myers Skatium Sun, Sep 16, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Keanu Gallegos lifted Florida Eels to a 6-3 victory with a hat trick against the Tampa Bay Juniors. Gallegos' first goal came 18:36 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:55 into the second and at 17:48 into the second.Tampa Bay was unable to stop Florida Eels from sending pucks towards the net, and Florida Eels eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Florida Eels could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. Florida Eels also got points from Brian Dennerlein, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Florida Eels also got a goal from Christian Johansen as well. In addition, Florida Eels received assists from Michael Viera and Max Mazzullo, who contributed one a piece. The Juniors could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Tampa Bay averages 5.5 goals per game. The Juniors were led by Austin Teall, who finished with two goals. Teall scored the first of his two goals at 16:20 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Tampa Bay. Brent Barber provided the assist. Teall's next tally made the score 3-1 Tampa Bay with 16:40 left in the second period. Tampa Bay had gotten the advantage when Florida Eels' Matthew Kiesel was sent off for roughing. Barber picked up the assist. Nicholas Frankich also scored for Tampa Bay. More assists for Tampa Bay came via Ryan Odgers, who had two and Dylan Longo and Raven Woodring, who each chipped in one. Florida Eels' Ryley Hynes stopped 16 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Florida Eels registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. Kyle Gertz recorded 26 saves for the Juniors. Tampa Bay incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
