The Palm Beach Hawks tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Space Coast Hurricanes held on for a 3-2 victory. A goal by Chase Horn put Space Coast up 3-0 in the third period, but Palm Beach pulled to within one on James Leicht's tally 12:43 into the third period. The Hurricanes got the win behind a great game by Luke Seibold, who had one goal and two assists. Seibold scored on the power play 5:43 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Space Coast. Space Coast earned a power play opportunity when Justin Jones was put in the box for holding. Alec Waszczenko assisted on the tally. The Hurricanes' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Space Coast finished with 24 penalty minutes. Space Coast also got points from Horn, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Dylan Lincoln also scored for Space Coast. The Hawks made the Hurricanes' goalies to work all game long, ripping 32 shots and forcing 30 saves. Patrick Tepedino made nine stops and Nicholas Wayland made 21. Palm Beach could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game. The Hawks were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to two goals off of 10 man advantages. Palm Beach also got a goal from Marshall Edmondson as well. More assists for Palm Beach came via Joseph Lambert, who had one. Space Coast registered three goals on nine power play opportunities. Adam Silverstein recorded 24 saves for Palm Beach.
