Yellowstone blows out Great Falls, 4-1

The Yellowstone Quake were firing on all cylinders against the Great Falls Americans, and when the final buzzer sounded Quake emerged with a 4-1 win.

Yellowstone was led by Chris Andre, who tallied one goal. Andre scored on the power play 15:48 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Yellowstone. The Quake had taken the advantage when Great Falls' Nate Bastian got sent off for tripping. Sam Basich assisted on the tally.

Yellowstone excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Quake kept the Americans' goalie busy throughout the game, and Erik Powell made 36 saves on 40 shots.

Yellowstone additionally got points from Brandon Busse, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Michael Berens also scored for Yellowstone. Other players who recorded assists for Yellowstone were Jimmy Tich, who had two and Kyle Sandera and George Splichal, who contributed one a piece.

Great Falls was led by Craig Bufford, who scored the team's only goal. Bufford scored 17:18 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Yellowstone.

Jared Schletty recorded 22 saves for Yellowstone. The Quake incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Americans incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
