Behind a great game by Evan Greer, who had four goals and two assists, the Picton Pirates defeated the Campbellford Rebels, 8-3.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 4:45 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Picton forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 14 minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 15.0 minutes per game the Pirates had been spending in the box. Picton made Campbellford's goalies to work between the pipes, taking 56 shots and forcing 48 saves. Cole Mahoney made 45 stops and Tyler Delpellaro made three.

Picton additionally got points from Ryan Sizer, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Tyler Kearns, who also had two goals and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Picton were Nolan Powers, Kenny Murduff, Geoff Cleminson, Eric Hayes, and Cole Bolton, who contributed one a piece and Jack Davison and Mitchell Smith, who each chipped in three.

The Rebels racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Campbellford had been averaging 16.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Rebels were helped by Hunter Fargey, who finished with one goal. Fargey scored on the power play 7:25 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Campbellford had gotten the advantage when Picton's Greer was sent off for roughing. Kenny Turcotte picked up the assist. Campbellford also got a goal from Nick Orton as well. More assists for Campbellford came via Josh Adams, who had two and Ryan Crowley, Connor Turland, and Seamus McDougall, who contributed one a piece.

Andrew Pearson made 37 saves for the Pirates on 40 shots. Picton registered three goals on seven power play opportunities. For the Pirates, Bolton was ejected from the game. Team's Steven Clarke, Orton, Mahoney, and Tyler McKown were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
