Behind a great game by Seamus McDougall, who had one goal and two assists, the Campbellford Rebels defeated the Amherstview Jets, 7-4. McDougall got on the board by slotting home a goal 1:40 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Campbellford. Josh Adams provided the assist. McDougall dished an assist on Nick Orton's goal that made the score 4-2 Campbellford at 13:53 into the second period. He added another helper on Adams' goal that made the score 6-4 Campbellford at 14:19 into the third period.Campbellford's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Amherstview power plays. The Rebels' offense rang up 37 shots on Amherstview's net. Campbellford found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Rebels average 4.7 goals per game. Campbellford additionally got points from Orton, who also racked up two goals and one assist, Adams, who also had one goal and one assist, and jeremy dorghty, who also registered one goal and one assist. Campbellford also got a goal from Ryan Crowley as well. More assists for Campbellford came via Mitch Gibson, Connor Turland, Dylan Baxter, Tyler Daveys, and Hunter Fargey, who each chipped in one. Campbellford was unable to stop the Jets from sending pucks towards the net, and Amherstview eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The defensemen of the Jets were also effective in the Rebels' zone, and came away with two goals. Amherstview was helped by Brody Taylor, who tallied one goal. Taylor scored 13:15 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Campbellford. Adam Alcorn picked up the assist. Jesse Stone also scored for Amherstview. Other players who recorded assists for Amherstview were Nic Pascoal, who had one and Dan Chadwick, who had two. Cole Mahoney recorded 34 saves for Campbellford. The Rebels incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Jets' Troy Paquette stopped 30 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Amherstview incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
