Napanee falls to Campbellford in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

jeremy dorghty gave the Campbellford Rebels a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Napanee Raiders when he scored 3:50 into the extra period.

Napanee was stymied by Campbellford netminder Cole Mahoney, who stopped 30 shots during the victory. Mahoney certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.77 entering the contest.

The Rebels were sparked by dorghty, who grabbed one goal.

Campbellford managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Rebels finished below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. Campbellford did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Rebels average 4.7 goals per game. Campbellford kept the Raiders' goalie busy throughout the game, and Mike Brogee made 36 saves on 38 shots.

Tyler Daveys also scored for Campbellford. Other players who recorded assists for Campbellford were Josh Adams and Tim Pandachuck, who each chipped in one.

Napanee forced the Rebels goalie Mahoney to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

The Raiders were led by Donny Emmons, who scored the team's only goal. Emmons scored 56 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Napanee. Zach Knapp-Hermer provided the assist.

Campbellford registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Napanee incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Raiders ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Troy Wylie was ejected from the game.
