Crowley leads Campbellford over Amherstview, 7-1

The Campbellford Rebels' Ryan Crowley had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 7-1 win over the Amherstview Jets.

Crowley's tallies came on the power play at 5:09 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Campbellford and 19:30 into the second to make the score 4-1 Campbellford.

Campbellford was led by goalie Cole Mahoney, who finished with 36 saves while allowing one goal. Mahoney managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.64 prior to the game.

The Rebels stifled Amherstview's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Campbellford's offense rang up 34 shots on the Jets' net. The Rebels bested their season scoring average. Campbellford has scored at the pace of 4.8 goals per game during the current campaign.

Campbellford also got points from Steven Clarke, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Mitch Burkitt, who also had one goal and one assist, Seamus McDougall, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, and Tim Pandachuck, who also racked up two goals and one assist. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Josh Adams, who had two and Chris Klompmaker and Connor Turland, who each chipped in one.

The Amherstview penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. The Jets had been averaging 18.0 minutes in penalties per game. Amherstview could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Jets put an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Amherstview's offense rang up 37 shots on the Rebels' net.

The Jets were led by Ryan Fletcher, who scored the team's only goal. Fletcher scored 15:41 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Alex Wilson picked up the assist.

Campbellford totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 1-for-7 on the power play. Team's Adams and Dylan Baxter were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Amherstview's James DAndrea stopped 27 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Jets registered zero goals on five power play opportunities. For Amherstview, Kyle Pengelly was ejected from the game.
