Sizer's big game bests Napanee in 9-2 Picton win

The Picton Pirates' Ryan Sizer had a big offensive game, scoring four goals and contributing two assists in his team's 9-2 win over the Napanee Raiders.

Sizer's first goal came 16:24 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:57 into the second, at 11:39 into the second, and at 4:31 into the third.

Picton surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Pirates average 5.1 goals per contest.

Picton also got points from Jack Davison, who also racked up one goal and four assists, Kenny Murduff, who also had one goal and one assist, Mitchell Smith, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Brad Jacklin, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Cole Bolton, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Picton were Nolan Van Vlack and Andrew Pearson, who each chipped in one and Brandon Peever and Jeremiah Doherty, who contributed two a piece.

Napanee stifled Picton's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Pearson rejected 22 shots on goal for the Pirates. Picton totaled seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and went 0-for-4 on the power play. For the Pirates, Devin McCann was ejected from the game. The Raiders' Kyle Copeland stopped 20 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Napanee incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Raiders ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Donny Emmons was ejected from the game.
