Campbellford blows out Deseronto, 6-2

Josh Adams had two goals and one assist to lead the Campbellford Rebels to a 6-2 victory over the Deseronto Storm.

Adams scored on the power play at 4:44 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Campbellford and again while on the power play 8:11 into the third to make the score 6-1 Campbellford.

Campbellford's penalty kill excelled, as the Rebels gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

Campbellford forced Deseronto goalie Dan Corrigan to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots. The Rebels capitalized on the Storm's penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage.

Campbellford also got points from Tim Panachuk, who also finished with two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Campbellford also got a goal from Seamus McDougall as well. More assists for Campbellford came via Hunter Fargey, who had two and Steven Clarke, Chris Klompmaker, and Mitch Burkitt, who contributed one a piece.

Deseronto kept Campbellford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Cole Mahoney made 31 saves on 33 shots.

The Storm were helped by Brett Maracle, who finished with one goal. Maracle scored on the power play 11:06 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Campbellford. Deseronto had gotten the advantage when the Rebels' Burkitt was sent off for interference. Riley Muise provided the assist. Cody Stapley also scored for Deseronto. In addition, Deseronto received assists from Alex McConnell and Jordan Cannons, who each chipped in one.

Campbellford incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Corrigan recorded 47 saves for the Storm. Deseronto incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
