Campbellford wins tough contest against Napanee, 4-2

The game between the Campbellford Rebels and the Napanee Raiders was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Campbellford emerged with a 4-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Ryan Crowley at 6:21 of the third period.

The Rebels were led by Crowley, who had one goal.

Campbellford could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Campbellford also got a goal from Josh Adams as well. Other players who recorded assists for Campbellford were Seamus McDougall, Dylan Baxter, TJ Paterson (APM), and Grant Fry, who each chipped in one.

Napanee excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

The Raiders were helped by Alex Kwok, who had one goal. Kwok scored on the power play 3:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Napanee. A roughing penalty on Baxter had put Napanee on the power play. Zach Knapp-Hermer picked up the assist. Jayden Adams also scored for Napanee. More assists for Napanee came via Josh St.Peter, who had one.

Cole Mahoney made 28 saves for the Rebels on 30 shots. Kyle Copeland recorded 26 saves for the Raiders. Napanee incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
