Campbellford downs Napanee, 4-1

Dylan Baxter tallied two points to lead the Campbellford Rebels to a 4-1 victory over the Napanee Raiders.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 19:41 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with four game misconducts.

Campbellford kept Napanee's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kyle Copeland made 31 saves on 35 shots.

Campbellford additionally got points from Mitch Burkitt, who also had one goal and one assist. Campbellford also got a goal from Ryan Crowley as well. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Hunter Fargey, Mitch Gibson, Connor Turland, and Jon Samis, who contributed one a piece.

The the Raiders penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and two majors for 42 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 19.0 minutes per game Napanee had been spending in the box. The Raiders could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Napanee averages 3.5 goals per game.

For the Rebels, K Turcoite and Levi George were ejected from the contest. Napanee registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Team's Joel Ferland and Ryan Thistlethwaite were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
