Fargey lifts Campbellford over Port Hope, 12-3

The Campbellford Rebels relied on the scoring touch of Hunter Fargey, who netted six goals, to beat the Port Hope Panthers, 12-3.

Fargey notched his first tally 1:24 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:44 into the first, at 14:05 into the first, at 19:11 into the first, at 11:19 into the second, and at 13:48 into the second.

Campbellford made Panthers' netminders to work without much rest, totaling 38 shots and forcing 26 saves. Justin Urquhart made 26 stops and Colin Goody made zero. The Rebels bested their season scoring average. Campbellford averages 5.7 goals per game.

Campbellford additionally got points from Josh Adams, who also had one goal and one assist, Mitch Gibson, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Jon Samis, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Campbellford also had goals scored by Grant Fry, who had one and Levi George, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Campbellford were Chris Roy, who had two, Seamus McDougall, who had five, Ryan Crowley, who had six, and Steven Clarke and Mitch Burkitt, who contributed one a piece.

The Rebels were unable to stop Port Hope from sending pucks towards the net, and the Panthers eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Port Hope was helped by Dan Lagrois, who finished with one goal and one assist. Lagrois scored 10:26 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Port Hope also got points from Ryan Wilkinson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Port Hope also got a goal from Brad Heykoop as well. More assists for Port Hope came via Hayden Verge and Kyle Sullivan, who contributed one a piece.

Amos Lloyd made 29 saves for Campbellford on 32 shots. The Rebels incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Panthers totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
