Campbellford completes comeback, beats Napanee, 6-5

The Campbellford Rebels climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat the Napanee Raiders, 6-5.

Campbellford never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Rebels trailed 5-2 after a goal by Napanee's Donny Emmons at 13:31 in the second period. Campbellford tied things up at 5-5 on a goal by Steven Clarke at 15:04 in the third period. The Rebels scored the game winner at 17:33 in the third period on a goal by Clarke.

Jon Samis had a great game for Campbellford, netting two goals. Samis' tallies came at 13:37 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 9:03 into the second to make the score 3-2 Napanee.

The Raiders were unable to stop the Rebels from sending pucks towards the net, and Campbellford eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

Campbellford also got points from Hunter Fargey, who also had one goal and one assist. Josh Adams also scored for Campbellford. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Ryan Crowley, Mitch Gibson, Connor Turland, Seamus McDougall, Wil Lameroux, Andy Paul, and Levi George, who each chipped in one.

Napanee forced Rebels' netminders to work in net, finishing with 33 shots and forcing 28 saves. Amos Lloyd made 10 stops and Cole Mahoney made 18.

The Raiders were helped by Josh Murphy APM, who racked up one goal. Murphy APM scored 9:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Napanee. Napanee additionally got points from Zach Knapp-Hermer, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Napanee also got a goal from Jesse Lloyd as well. More assists for Napanee came via Troy Wylie, who had one and Luke Emmons, who had three.

The Rebels ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Mike Brogee made 41 saves for Napanee on 47 shots. The Raiders avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
