Yellowstone Quake beats Billings Bulls 7-2 as Tich gets hat trick

Jimmy Tich netted a hat trick to lead Yellowstone Quake over Billings Bulls, 7-2.

Tich got on the scoresheet eight seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 17:39 into the first and at 13:59 into the third.

Yellowstone Quake's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Billings Bulls power plays. Yellowstone Quake kept Billings Bulls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nic Wackerly made 61 saves on 68 shots.

Yellowstone Quake also got points from Brandon Busse, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Michael Berens also scored for Yellowstone Quake. More assists for Yellowstone Quake came via Sam Basich, who had two and Anthony Leong and Oli Jansson, who contributed one a piece.

Billings Bulls stifled Yellowstone Quake's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Yellowstone Quake was unable to stop Billings Bulls from sending pucks towards the net, and Billings Bulls eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Billings Bulls was led by Trey Robillard, who finished with one goal. Robillard scored 10:09 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Yellowstone Quake. Billings Bulls also got a goal from Dexter Nealy as well. Other players who recorded assists for Billings Bulls were Kyle Blankenship and Nik Nasby, who each chipped in one.

Trevor Zangs made 32 saves for Yellowstone Quake on 34 shots. Yellowstone Quake totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-7 on the power play. Yellowstone Quake ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Basich was ejected from the game. Billings Bulls incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
