Michael Pontarelli netted a hat trick to lead the Cornwall Colts over the Carleton Place Canadians, 5-3.

Pontarelli got on the scoresheet 9:23 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:18 into the first and at 15:58 into the third.

Cornwall also got points from Pietro Antonelli, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Cornwall also got a goal from Stephen Johnson as well. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Anthony Sanniti, who had two and Carl Belizario and Mitch Zion, who each chipped in one.

Carleton Place kept Cornwall's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jordan Piccolino made 33 saves on 36 shots.

The Canadians were helped by Anthony McVeigh, who tallied one goal. McVeigh scored 7:29 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Luke Martin picked up the assist. Jackson Howe also scored for Carleton Place. More assists for Carleton Place came via Luke Kasteel, Brock Edwards, Stephen Bayliss, and Kelly Summers, who contributed one a piece.

The Colts incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Brendan Oneill rejected 19 shots on goal for Carleton Place. The Canadians incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
