Pembroke boosted by Munroe's play in net, beats Hawkesbury 2-1Bell Sensplex-Canadian Tire Sat, Dec 22, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Andy Munroe stood on his head and made 29 saves to lead the Pembroke Lumber Kings to a 2-1 victory over the Hawkesbury Hawks. Pembroke was sparked by Stephen Hrehoriak, who racked up one goal and one assist. Hrehoriak scored on the power play 3:38 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Pembroke. The Lumber Kings had taken the advantage when Hawkesbury's Brandon Bussey got sent off for roughing. Jordan Larson picked up the assist. Pembroke excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Lumber Kings' offense rang up 35 shots on the Hawks' net. Ben Dalpe also scored for Pembroke. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Philippe Drouin and Keegan Harper, who each chipped in one. Pembroke incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Carmine Guerriero rejected 33 shots on goal for Hawkesbury. The Hawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
