Laliberte's hat trick boosts Hawkesbury over Gloucester, 6-3

The Gloucester Rangers could not stop the Hawkesbury Hawks' Yanik Laliberte, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-3 win.

Laliberte's first goal came 2:22 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:49 into the first and at 13:59 into the third.

Hawkesbury pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

The Hawks forced Gloucester goalie Dylan BrindAmour to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Hawkesbury bested its season scoring average. The Hawks average 3.1 goals per game.

Hawkesbury additionally got points from Brett Varrin, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Pietro Antonelli also scored for Hawkesbury. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Peter Kapelanski, Mercier Mederic, Holden Anderson, and Stefano Momesso, who each chipped in one and Travis Meyer and Carl Faucher, who contributed two a piece.

The Rangers' offense rang up 38 shots on Hawkesbury's net.

Gloucester was helped by Dylan Giberson, who had one goal. Giberson scored 8:41 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Hawkesbury. Christian Leger assisted on the tally. Gloucester also got a goal from Carl-Philippe Ouimet as well. More assists for Gloucester came via Keegan Rowe, Patrick White, Daniel Baslyk, Samuel Quaranta, and Cory Durocher, who each chipped in one.

Nicholas Newport rejected 35 shots on goal for the Hawks. Hawkesbury registered two goals on five power play opportunities. BrindAmour recorded 26 saves for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
