Hawkesbury downs Ottawa in overtime, 3-2 (OT)Jim Durrell Complex-Peplinski Sat, Oct 27, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Pietro Antonelli gave the Hawkesbury Hawks a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Ottawa Senators when he scored 10 seconds into the extra period. Antonelli had a great game for Hawkesbury, netting two goals. Travis Meyer also scored for Hawkesbury. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were William Plamondon, Francis Landers, Yanik Laliberte, and Carl Faucher, who contributed one a piece. Ottawa kept the Hawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brock Crossthwaite made 41 saves on 43 shots. The Senators were helped by Hunter Racine, who racked up one goal. Racine scored on the power play 13:23 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Ottawa. Ottawa had taken the advantage when Hawkesbury's Laliberte got sent off for harrassment of official. Cameron Roth provided the assist. Ottawa also got a goal from Derek Brown as well. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Eric Witzel and Charlie Millen, who each chipped in one. The Hawks totaled 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Team's Mathieu Galipeau and Holden Anderson were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Charlie Millen made 17 saves for the Senators on 20 shots. Ottawa totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. For the Senators, Mike Martin was ejected from the game.
