Brockville boosted by Karpinski's play in net, beats Hawkesbury 3-1

Cody Karpinski had a standout game with 36 saves, and the Brockville Braves beat the Hawkesbury Hawks 3-1.

Brockville was led by Nathan Todd, who had one goal. Todd scored 8:11 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brockville. Taylor Henry picked up the assist.

The Braves excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Jonathan Power also scored for Brockville. More assists for Brockville came via Shane Riddell, Zach Todd, Ben Blasko, and David Ferreira, who each chipped in one.

Hawkesbury forced Brockville goalie Karpinski to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

The Hawks were led by Carl Faucher, who scored the team's only goal. Faucher scored 4:54 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury. Holden Anderson provided the assist.

The Braves incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For Brockville, Ryan Stayner was ejected from the game. Carmine Guerriero recorded 27 saves for Hawkesbury. The Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For Hawkesbury, Francis Landers and Anderson were ejected from the contest.
