The game between the Pembroke Lumber Kings and the Hawkesbury Hawks was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Pembroke emerged with a 5-3 win. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Stephen Hrehoriak secured the win for the Lumber Kings with a goal in the third period. Pembroke was sparked by Hrehoriak, who had one goal. Hrehoriak scored 19:04 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Pembroke. Emilio Audi provided the assist. The Lumber Kings forced Hawkesbury goalie Carmine Guerriero to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Pembroke additionally got points from Owen McDade, who also registered one goal and one assist. Carl Greco also scored for Pembroke. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Timmy Moore, who had two, JJ Hart, who had three, and Jordan Larson and Keegan Harper, who each chipped in one. The Hawks kept Pembroke's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andy Munroe made 32 saves on 35 shots. Hawkesbury could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. The Hawks were helped by Stefano Momesso, who grabbed one goal. Momesso scored 6:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury. Pietro Antonelli assisted on the tally. Hawkesbury also got a goal from Shane Topf as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Mathieu Galipeau, Antonio Roumeliotis, and Carl Faucher, who contributed one a piece. The Lumber Kings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Guerriero rejected 29 shots on goal for Hawkesbury. The Hawks registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
