Boston Jr Bruins and Chicago Jr Blackhawks skate to 1-1 tie

Chicago Jr Blackhawks trailed Boston Jr Bruins by one in the second period, but Chicago Jr Blackhawks did not give up and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Boston Jr Bruins was led by Matt Beniers, who scored the team's only goal. Beniers scored 3:27 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Boston Jr Bruins. Charlie Spence picked up the assist.

Chicago Jr Blackhawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Chicago Jr Blackhawks was led by Luke Weilandt, who scored the team's only goal. Weilandt scored on the power play 5:44 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Chicago Jr Blackhawks had taken the advantage when Boston Jr Bruins' Spence got sent off for body checking. Hunter Longhi provided the assist.

Mason Kucenski recorded 22 saves for Boston Jr Bruins. Boston Jr Bruins incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nicholas Addante made 20 saves for Chicago Jr Blackhawks on 21 shots. Chicago Jr Blackhawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
