Team Minnesota blows out Boston Jr Bruins, 3-0

Team Minnesota had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over Boston Jr Bruins.

Team Minnesota pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 10 penalty minutes.

Team Minnesota was paced by Ben Dexheimer, who finished with one goal. Dexheimer scored on the power play 9:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Team Minnesota. Team Minnesota had taken the advantage when Boston Jr Bruins' Nolan Hayes got sent off for interference.

Team Minnesota put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Boston Jr Bruins to score on any of its six power plays.

Team Minnesota also got a goal from Luke Kron as well. Other players who recorded assists for Team Minnesota were John Tucker, Gunnar Thoreson, CJ Zins, and Sam Newpower, who contributed one a piece.

Boston Jr Bruins was held below its usual level of production. Boston Jr Bruins puts an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game. Boston Jr Bruins did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 14 saves.

Team Minnesota's Corbin Hillman stopped 14 shots out of the 14 that he faced. Team Minnesota registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Drew Commesso recorded 12 saves for Boston Jr Bruins. Boston Jr Bruins incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
