Detroit Red Wings and Team Minnesota skate to 2-2 tie

Detroit Red Wings found itself down againt Team Minnesota, but battled back to secure to a 2-2 tie.

Team Minnesota's defense shut down Detroit Red Wings' forwards for much of the game, and Detroit Red Wings got off only 14 shots during the contest.

Detroit Red Wings was helped by Kienan Draper, who grabbed one goal. Draper scored 14:59 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Mark Estapa assisted on the tally. Detroit Red Wings also got a goal from Tiernan Shoudy as well. Other players who recorded assists for Detroit Red Wings were Tanner Dickinson, who had one.

Team Minnesota managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Team Minnesota wound up below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. Team Minnesota did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting nine shots on net to force seven saves.

Team Minnesota was helped by John Tucker, who racked up one goal. Tucker scored on the power play 5:20 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Team Minnesota. Team Minnesota earned a power play opportunity when Carter Mazur was put in the box for tripping. Carson Bantle also scored for Team Minnesota. More assists for Team Minnesota came via Wyatt Kaiser and Sam Newpower, who each chipped in one.

Detroit Red Wings' Peyton Grainer stopped seven shots out of the nine that he faced. Detroit Red Wings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Ramsey Bell made 12 saves for Team Minnesota on 14 shots. Team Minnesota registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
