Montreal Ice Storm survives Connecticut Yankees comeback, wins 6-4

Montreal Ice Storm led by three goals and ended up topping Connecticut Yankees, 6-4.

Montreal Ice Storm led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Montreal Ice Storm's Alexandre Doucet's scored at 1:43 in the second period to put Montreal Ice Storm up 4-1.

Matt Choupani was all over the ice for Montreal Ice Storm, as he had two goals in the win. Choupani scored on the power play at 10:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Montreal Ice Storm and again while on the power play 10:57 into the third to make the score 5-4 Montreal Ice Storm.

Montreal Ice Storm cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances. Montreal Ice Storm's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Montreal Ice Storm finished with 16 penalty minutes.

Montreal Ice Storm also got a goal from William Dufour as well. In addition, Montreal Ice Storm received assists from Mika Gonthier-Bernard, Thomas Martin, and Anthony Munroe Boucher, who contributed one a piece.

Connecticut Yankees was helped by Alex Gaffney, who racked up three goals. Connecticut Yankees additionally got points from Eddie Evaldi, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Gonthier-Bernard rejected 26 shots on goal for Montreal Ice Storm. Joey DiGiacomo made eight saves before being replaced by Cameron Smith, who took the loss and made 10 saves. Connecticut Yankees incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
