Toronto Bulldogs survives Montreal Ice Storm comeback, wins 4-2

Montreal Ice Storm tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Toronto Bulldogs held on for a 4-2 victory.

Toronto Bulldogs made the score 4-1 on a goal by Cole Perfetti at 11:47 in the second period, and Montreal Ice Storm got as close as 4-2 when Devon de Vries scored 11:10 into the third period.

Toronto Bulldogs got the win with help from a great game by Logan Morrison, who had two goals and one assist. Morrison scored the first of his two goals short handed at 8:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Bulldogs. Toronto Bulldogs found itself down a man on Isaac MacLeod's tripping. Morrison's next tally short handed made the score 2-0 Toronto Bulldogs with 16:05 left in the second period. Cole OHara provided the assist.

Toronto Bulldogs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Toronto Bulldogs wound up below its season average of 4.0 penalty minutes per game.

Toronto Bulldogs also got points from Perfetti, who also finished with two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Toronto Bulldogs received assists from Frankie Carogioiello and Tyler Tullio, who contributed one a piece.

Montreal Ice Storm managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Montreal Ice Storm ended up below its season average of 5.0 penalty minutes per game. Montreal Ice Storm's offense was handcuffed by Toronto Bulldogs' defensive play, and Montreal Ice Storm managed only 12 shots on goal during the game.

Montreal Ice Storm was helped by Alexis Giguere, who tallied one goal. Giguere scored 6:20 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Toronto Bulldogs. Matt Choupani picked up the assist. More assists for Montreal Ice Storm came via Hendrix Lapierre, who had one.

Marco Latassa made 10 saves for Toronto Bulldogs on 12 shots. Toronto Bulldogs registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Montreal Ice Storm's Franky Lapenna stopped 13 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Montreal Ice Storm registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
