Team Minnesota earns hard-fought 1-0 win over Saskatchewan Jr Pats

Team Minnesota beat Saskatchewan Jr Pats 1-0 in a game that featured tenacious defense, solid goalkeeping and a winning score from Henry Eischen.

Daniel Laatsch assisted on the winning goal.

Team Minnesota was sparked by Eischen, who tallied one goal. Eischen scored 9:25 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Team Minnesota. Laatsch picked up the assist.

Team Minnesota stifled Saskatchewan Jr Pats' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team Minnesota found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against Saskatchewan Jr Pats' defense.

Saskatchewan Jr Pats managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Saskatchewan Jr Pats ended up below its season average of 4.0 penalty minutes per game.

Spencer Welke recorded 12 saves for Saskatchewan Jr Pats. Saskatchewan Jr Pats registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
