Team Central completes comeback, beats Team North, 4-3

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, Team Central battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over Team North.

Team Central never led in the game until netting the game winner. Team Central was down 3-1 after a goal by Team North's Andrew Benyo at 6:22 in the third period. Team Central knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Andy Thurby at 13:46 in the third period. Team Central got the game winner at 16:58 in the third period on a goal by Thurby.

Team Central was sparked by Mike Lozano, who had one goal and one assist.

Team Central forced Team North's netminders to work between the pipes, ripping 42 shots and forcing 38 saves. Schuyler Ferguson made 23 stops and Alex Lazarski made 15.

Team Central also got points from Nikolas Sakellaropoulos, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Jeremy Edwards also scored for Team Central. In addition, Team Central received assists from Collin Warner and Kerry McGlynn, who each chipped in one.

Team North managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Team North wound up below its season average of 3.0 penalty minutes per game.

Team North additionally got points from Eric Woodward, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Team North also got a goal from Andrew Carlson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Team North were Trevor Voelker, Drew Crandall, and Steven Sadowsky, who contributed one a piece.

Mitchell Fernsler took the win and made 11 saves before being replaced by Michael Meadows who made nine saves. Team Central finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-1 with the man advantage. Team North registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
