Füchse Duisburg falls to Tölzer Löwen in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Florian (FL) Strobl gave Tölzer Löwen a 4-3 (OT) victory over Füchse Duisburg when he scored 3:28 into the extra period.

The win by Tölzer Löwen clinched the best of five series at 3-1.

Johannes (FL) Sedlmayr was all over the ice for Tölzer Löwen, as he grabbed two goals in the win. Sedlmayr found the back of the net 11:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tölzer Löwen and again while 17:01 into the second to make the score 2-1 Tölzer Löwen.

Tölzer Löwen put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Füchse Duisburg to score on any of its three power plays.

Tölzer Löwen also got points from Strobl, who also registered one goal and one assist. Pascal Sternkopf also scored for Tölzer Löwen. Other players who recorded assists for Tölzer Löwen were Peter (FL) Lindlbauer, Yanick Dubé, and Christian Urban, who each chipped in one.

Füchse Duisburg was helped by Markus Schmidt, who racked up one goal. Schmidt scored 19:03 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Christoph (FL) Ziolkowski provided the assist. Füchse Duisburg additionally got points from Daniel Huhn, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Füchse Duisburg also got a goal from Benjamin Hanke as well. In addition, Füchse Duisburg received assists from Daniel (FL) Fischbuch, Alexander (FL) Preibisch, Mats Schöbel, and Clarke Breitkreuz, who contributed one a piece.

Tölzer Löwen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Füchse Duisburg incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
