The Columbus Cottonmouths were firing on all cylinders against the Huntsville Havoc, and when the final buzzer sounded Cottonmouths emerged with a 6-1 win.

Columbus was led by John Sullivan, who had one goal and one assist. Sullivan scored 12:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Columbus. Jordan Braid provided the assist.

The Cottonmouths' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Huntsville power plays. With 33 shots on target during the contest, Columbus exceeded the 29.8 shots it averages per game this year.

Columbus additionally got points from Greg Beller, who also tallied two goals and one assist to lead the team in points and Sam Bowles, who also registered one goal and one assist.
