Billings Bulls rides Wackerly to victory over Hampton Roads, 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Nic Wackerly helped Billings Bulls defeat Hampton Roads, 4-1.

Billings Bulls was led by Daniel Chang, who finished with one goal and one assist. Chang scored on the power play 15:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Billings Bulls. Billings Bulls earned a power play opportunity when Dylan Woods was put in the box for checking from behind. Ryan Thompson assisted on the tally.

Billings Bulls made Hampton Roads' netminders to work between the pipes, finishing with 31 shots and forcing 27 saves. Dylan Snyder made 10 stops and Blake Scott made 17. Billings Bulls excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Billings Bulls also got points from Paul Hoffman, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Colby Spoonemore, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Billings Bulls also got a goal from Sawyer Jacobson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Billings Bulls were Joey Ullmann, Jarret Stark, Nikolas Nasby, and Chase Kimberling, who each chipped in one.

Billings Bulls was unable to stop Hampton Roads from sending pucks towards the net, and Hampton Roads eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Hampton Roads struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 18 penalty minutes for eight opposing power plays.

Nic Wackerly made 34 saves for Billings Bulls on 35 shots. Billings Bulls incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
