Willms stymies Chicago Bulldogs, Atlanta Knights wins 6-1

Atlanta Knights relied on the sparkling performance of Derek Willms in net to grab a 6-1 win against Chicago Bulldogs.

Atlanta Knights' penalty kill excelled, as Atlanta Knights gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Atlanta Knights was paced by Mikey Edwards, who tallied one goal. Edwards scored 12:11 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Atlanta Knights. George Gerasimou assisted on the tally.

Atlanta Knights stifled Chicago Bulldogs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Atlanta Knights kept Chicago Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Lee Satran made 30 saves on 36 shots. Atlanta Knights' goal total was higher than its season average. Atlanta Knights averages 3.7 goals per game.

Atlanta Knights also got points from Nick Webb, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Dave Castellion, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, and Brent Kallio, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Chicago Bulldogs was led by Tyler Cosentino, who scored the team's only goal. Cosentino scored 6:40 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Atlanta Knights. Joseph Mavrin picked up the assist.

Atlanta Knights' Willms stopped 26 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Atlanta Knights incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Chicago Bulldogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
