Behind a great game by Pieter Schinkelshoek, who had two goals and two assists, the London Nationals defeated the Strathroy Rockets, 6-3. Schinkelshoek's tallies came on the power play at 7:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 London and 1:36 into the third to make the score 6-3 London.The win by London broke a deadlock and gave the Nationals a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series. London's penalty kill excelled, as the Nationals gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays. Strathroy was unable to stop London from sending pucks towards the net, and the Nationals eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. London also got points from Noah Schwartz, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Daniel Cameron, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Tyler Bryden, who also finished with one goal and one assist. London also got a goal from Jared McCann as well. In addition, London received assists from Aaron Dartch, who had one and Jake Monaghan and Scott Lombardi, who each chipped in two. The Rockets were helped by Brett Dyck, who tallied one goal. Dyck scored 16:48 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Derek Nap assisted on the tally. Ryan Field also scored for Strathroy. Other players who recorded assists for Strathroy were Jordan McNaughton, Brent Andriash, Davis Brown, and Brian Brosnan, who contributed one a piece. London's Taylor Edwards stopped 18 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Nationals incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Dalen Kuchmey made 36 saves for Strathroy on 42 shots. The Rockets ended with 60 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and two majors. Team's Coulter Cahill, Brown, and Dylan Wilson-Foote were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
