The Stratford Cullitons tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Brantford Golden Eagles would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. Brantford took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have Stratford storm back on a Ray Huether goal 19:08 into the third period to pull to one goal down. After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, the Cullitons face elimination next time out. The Golden Eagles excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Brantford forced Stratford goalie Taylor Dupuis to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. The Golden Eagles were helped by Trent Hawke, who had three goals. More assists for Brantford came via Matt Quilty, who had three and Jeff Swift and Brandon Montour, who contributed one a piece. The Cullitons' offense rang up 36 shots on Brantford's net. Stratford was led by Trevor Sauder, who racked up one goal and one assist.
