Texas uses early goal to top Allen, 1-0

Calin Wild gave the Texas Brahmas the lead in the first period, and Allen was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 1-0.

A goal 7:04 into the the first period by Wild proved to be the game winner, and powered Texas to the victory Mike Hellyer picked up the assist.

After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Allen faces elimination next time out.

The Brahmas were led by Wild, who registered one goal.

More assists for Texas came via Brett Findlay, who had one.

Allen put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Texas to score on any of its three power plays.

Allen was led by Colton Yellow Horn, who took four shots.

Brad Fogal made 23 saves for the Brahmas on 23 shots. Texas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Marco Cousineau rejected 19 shots on goal for Allen. Allen incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
