Evansville falls to Missouri in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Ed McGrane gave the Missouri Mavericks a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Evansville IceMen when he scored 14:43 into the extra period.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Evansville faces elimination next time out.

Missouri was led by McGrane, who tallied one goal.

John-Scott Dickson also scored for Missouri. More assists for Missouri came via Andrew Courtney, who had one and Cole Ruwe and Dale Mahovsky, who contributed two a piece.

The Mavericks were unable to stop the IceMen from sending pucks towards the net, and Evansville eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

The IceMen were helped by Matt Pierce, who racked up one goal. Pierce scored 56 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Evansville. Sean OConnor provided the assist. Evansville also got a goal from Josh Beaulieu as well. In addition, Evansville received assists from Todd Robinson, Nicklas Lindberg, and Malcolm Gwilliam, who each chipped in one.

Charlie Effinger made 34 saves for Missouri on 36 shots. The Mavericks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Pier-Olivier Pelletier recorded 25 saves for Evansville. The IceMen incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
