Springfield earns hard-fought 1-0 win over Janesville

The game between the Springfield Jr. Blues and the Janesville Jets proved to be an even match, as Springfield took home the victory by scoring only once in a 1-0 win.

Kyle Cook assisted on the winning goal.

The win by the Jr. Blues clinched the best of five series at 3-2.

Springfield was led by Chris Sitler, who grabbed one goal. Sitler scored 1:01 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Springfield. Cook provided the assist.

Janesville was led by Jake Horton, who took three shots.

Gabe Antoni made 21 saves for the Jr. Blues on 21 shots. Springfield ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. The Jets' Tony Kujava stopped 17 shots out of the 18 that he faced. Janesville avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
