Missoula falls to Helena in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Helena pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over Missoula on a clutch goal by Drew Ingram.

Helena's penalty kill excelled, as Helena gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Helena was sparked by Ingram, who tallied one goal. Ingram scored 6:23 into overtime to make the score 3-2 Helena. Ben Henne assisted on the tally.

Helena stifled Missoula's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Missoula was unable to stop Helena from sending pucks towards the net, and Helena eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

Helena also got points from Alex DeWitz, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Hagen Nemzek, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Theo Campe, Beau Ricketts, and Balasz Goz, who each chipped in one.

Missoula's offense rang up 37 shots on Helena's net.

Missoula was helped by David Johnson, who registered one goal. Johnson scored 15:19 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Helena. Missoula also got a goal from Zach Paisley as well. More assists for Missoula came via Brett Mathews and Jimmy Morris, who contributed one a piece.

Jett Salinas recorded 35 saves for Helena. Helena incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Missoula's McKinlee Baum stopped 36 shots out of the 39 that he faced. Missoula incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
