Helena relied on the scoring touch of Hagen Nemzek, who netted two goals, to beat Missoula, 4-1. Nemzek found the back of the net 13:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena and again while 19:50 into the first to make the score 2-1 Helena.Missoula was stymied by Helena netminder Jett Salinas, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. Even though Salinas played well, his goals against average suffered, as his one goal against exceeded his season average of 1.0. Helena excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Missoula was unable to stop Helena from sending pucks towards the net, and Helena eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. Helena also got points from Trevor Tracy, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Helena also got a goal from Ben Henne as well. More assists for Helena came via Alex DeWitz, Michael Sullivan, Cody Blom, Beau Ricketts, Balasz Goz, and William Kapp, who each chipped in one. Missoula was led by Dunk Abbott, who scored the team's only goal. Abbott scored 14:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jimmy Morris picked up the assist.
