Meghan Agosta scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and Montreal held off the challenges of Brampton in a tough 2-0 win. Agosta provided Montreal with the game-winning tally when she scored 4:58 into the the first period. Julie Chu assisted on the tally.Montreal pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 13 penalty minutes. Montreal was led by Agosta, who grabbed one goal. Montreal's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Brampton power plays. Montreal did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Montreal puts an average of 4.5 pucks into the net per game. Caroline Ouellette also scored for Montreal. Other players who recorded assists for Montreal were Vanessa Davidson and Dominique Thibault, who each chipped in one. Brampton stifled Montreal's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Montreal registered zero goals on five power play opportunities. Brampton incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
