Hagersville erases deficit to stun Delhi, 4-3

The Hagersville Hawks climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Delhi Travellers, 4-3.
Hagersville never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Hawks was down 3-1 after a goal by Delhi's Taylor Hockley at 11:02 in the second period. Hagersville knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Mike Gruhl at 18:13 in the second period. The Hawks scored the game winner on the power play at 13:29 in the third period on a goal by Gruhl.
After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, the Travellers face elimination next time out.
Gruhl had a great game for Hagersville, netting two goals.
The Hawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. Hagersville kept Delhi's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nick Heath made 27 saves on 31 shots.
Deacan Krause also scored for Hagersville. In addition, Hagersville received assists from Jesse Ross, who had two, Derek Medeiros, who had three, and Greg Longboat and Rob Clause, who contributed one a piece.
The Travellers forced the Hawks goalie Jordan Ironside to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.
Delhi also got points from Travis Harper, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Delhi also got a goal from Reid Morrison as well. Other players who recorded assists for Delhi were Derek Slaght AP, who had one and Cody Stout, who had two.
Ironside rejected 29 shots on goal for Hagersville. The Hawks incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Delhi incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
