The St. Louis Jr. Blues had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over the Peoria Mustangs. The win by St. Louis clinched the best of three series at 2-1. Johnny Mueller was all over the ice for the Jr. Blues, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Mueller scored the first of his two goals at 9:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Louis. Patrick Gregory assisted on the tally. Mueller's next tally made the score 4-0 St. Louis with 1:56 left in the third period. St. Louis kept Peoria's goalie busy throughout the game, and Michael Parda made 32 saves on 36 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Trace Jablin also scored for St. Louis. In addition, St. Louis received assists from Ryan Basgall, who had two and Andy Thurby and Joe Bowler, who contributed one a piece. The Mustangs stifled the Jr. Blues' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Mitchell Fernsler rejected 24 shots on goal for St. Louis. The Jr. Blues incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Peoria totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
